i just made 'devil's food' cupcakes and they are the most beautiful things i've ever tasted
i've thought a couple of times about putting recipes in here, or having my own food diary, but i've never actually got round to it
[plus it'd never be as cool as this one anyway]
seriously though, you have to make these:
50g margarine
115g soft dark brown sugar
2 eggs
115g plain flour
25g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp bicarb. of soda
125ml soured cream
preheat oven to 180 degrees c/gas mark 4
whisk together the margarine, sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa and bicarb. until smooth
using a metal spoon, fold in the soured cream
spoon mixture into paper cases and bake for aprox. 20 minutes, until risen and firm to the touch
what could be simpler?!
there was a recipe for icing to go on it too, but it had more soured cream in it, and i'd much rather try out a new recipe i have for mushroom stroganoff...
