my j.s.a. just came through
ironically [in an alanis morissette kinda way] on the same day i actually managed to 'seek' a job
at asda
james went from 'congratulations...' to '...wal-mart is evil' in about 3 seconds flat
he wants me to 'destroy the company from the inside'
he also wants me to look pretty on saturday to make a good impression when i meet his parents, because he won't let me talk to them long enough to make an impression any other way...
i'm watching dexter season 3 and i fucking love it

i've always had a sort of 'talent' for detecting suicide and pregnancy in tv/films, so i guessed what was going to happen as soon as cody [i still like season 1 cody much better] invited him to 'daddy day' [or whatever it was] at school
the sickly music, chocolate cravings and that awful white dress just proved it
but ignoring the cheesy bits, baby-dexter with the syringe/rattle is beautifully six feet under, and the bit where they're in the park and he's wearing the gloves etc...

if i was a man i'd so dress up as dexter for halloween
as it stands, my halloween costume shortlist is made up of the following [incredibly geeky and only vaguely slutty] characters:
jean grey/phoenix: x men [dark phoenix red/gold outfit]
lara croft: tomb raider [legend/underworld]
princess leia: star wars [episode iv]
alice: resident evil [film version]
i usually choose characters by hair colour, but it's been a while since i dyed my hair [and i'm not sure what kind of reception it'd get from boyfriend/new job] so my criteria is now simply 'characters with long hair'
i'm a bit stuck actually...
i can never be bothered to get shoes for my costumes [no knee-high boots for alice or lara, nothing white for leia and certainly nothing thigh-high and bright yellow for my darling phoenix] but i figured it'd be ok, since i was planning to have a halloween party at the flat, however, now that tamsin can't make it and lib doesn't know if she can, i think i'll have to change it to drinks-at-mine-then-on-to-girls-and-boys on the saturday...
meaning my costume has to now be 'suitable' for outdoors
